My practice is grounded in the seasonal shifts and constant regeneration of the sacred Lake Superior and the bioregions of the upper Midwest. We are so incredibly blessed to be in a place where food is abundant and we are literally surrounded by healing fresh water.
I was drawn to bodywork as a way to help others achieve freedom and self awareness in their own bodies as well as all the physical and physiological benefits of massage. I am passionate about holistic wellness and desire to help others in their journey through chronic pain, stress reduction and healing from injury. I received my degree from The Aveda Institute and have also studied Thai Massage, Cupping Therapy and Traditional Western Herbalism. My sessions are tailored to the clients needs and may include a mix of modalities.
Come and join me on our journey towards being our authentic best selves!
AMETHYST MASSAGE AND BODYWORK
Swedish/Relaxation Massage increases circulation and flexibility and aids in the removal of toxins from the body. Your session is customized to your needs and can include deep tissue or rehabilitative techniques. The deep state of relaxation produced by massage lets the body do its innate job of renewing and rebuilding at the cellular level.
Thai massage is an ancient healing modality that combines rhythmic massage with assisted yoga-type stretching. The massage is performed on a mat on the floor with the client wearing comfortable clothing. Thai massage has the same benefits as therapeutic massage, but in addition promotes positive energy circulation, leaving you feeling balanced and invigorated.
A thorough intake including medical history and pulse testing will help match you with a plant ally that can assist in moving through life with more ease. Plant medicine is enjoying a much-needed resurgence in popularity as people feel increasingly frustrated with the options that Western Allopathic medicine has to offer. Plant medicine can help in both physical dis-ease and imbalance as well as support emotional health.
